TIER 1 CUP NAMED AFTER KEITH SCHEELER

In memory of a dear friend and player who loved the sport of ball hockey, the WRBHA Member Leagues voted to have the Men's Provincial Tier 1 trophy re-named in honour of the late Keith Scheelar who lost his life in 2013. Keith was a great player back in the day when he played in Tier 1 for the The Clowns and The Dingos. Keith earned back to back Tier 1 Provincial titles and represented many times at the CBHA Nationals. Keith's contributions were not only on the floor but on the bench coaching for his son Adam in the minor program for five years. Keith gave of his time supporting the local league but his greatest contribution was in the board room as the WRBHA President for two years where he was know for his fairness, love of the game and good sense of humour. We look forward to the SCHEELAR CUP being hoisted high following the Tier 1 Men's Gold Medal Game.
